To say the least, the Great Northwest has been a wonderful place for one of my favorite past times, photography. The images on this site have been taken by myself along with several provided by family or friends.
Some of us find it hard to get too excited at times, no matter where we are.
The two of us closed the deal over 50 years ago.
Becky and I first met in the fall of 1968. It was a Friday evening after a football game. I was with my two best friends, Alan and Jack, s...
We were married in The First United Methodist Church in Dover Ohio on November 15, 1969.
I was working for Diebold, a bank equipment company, at the time. They gave me the opportunity to move to Dallas, Texas. We took advantage...
Need to describe reason and a bit about the move ...
Need to describe a bit about the build start ..
We purchased our first 5 acre site in 1998 while still working in Dallas. The plan was for us to work til retirement age in Dallas and work on the property as time allowed. However things have a habit not to always follow the plan. Becky's employer took a big financial hit and she got laid off. So we decided to take a chance and go ahead and move to the Northwest early. Times were tight but we moved and lived in a small condo in Port Orchard and worked on finishing the loft ourselves then moved into it in. We later were able to purchase the 5 acre site next to us for additional privacy.
See the site as we first found 'Keiferville" and the buildout of the loft area.
Family are important and are always welcome at Keiferville. See who have enjoyed visiting the great Northwest.
We enjoy sharing our love of the area with all willing to take the chance of coming by wishing this is where they could call home.

Sharon (my sister) and our cousin's daughter Maddie visited Keiferville in June of 2018. We took a day trip to the coast and the Olympic National Forest. These are some of the sites we visited while we were there. This photo shows Becky and myself with Sharon in front of one of the many waterfalls observed.
While clearing some brush and old stumps, I broke my tractor. The front axle front and rear mounting supports and hubs broke. First real major failure I had with the 1972 Deutz Allis. Had my neighbor come over and operator an excavator I rented to lift the tractor out of the woods and take it down the driveway to a level area where we could load it onto a trailer to take it to be repaired.
Our first snow of 2021 started started as very light flurries Friday afternoon February 12 lasting throughout the night into Saturday morning when it turned into heavier flakes and lasted to about noon. Overall we received over 10" by the time it stopped.
We had a steel-framed enclosed garage constructed in April of 2022.
