USS CARL VINSON

On January 13, 2003, the aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson, left its home port of Bremerton, Washington. Its reported mission is for 'training'. With all that is happening in the Persian Gulf, one can only speculate on the real reason. My friend Peder, myself and a few local sea gulls, were there to see it leave. The weather was overcast as the ship left out on its mission. No one knows when it will return as sailed out of Sinclair Inlet in Washington to meet with the rest of its battle group.
